This morning we will depart from the Sacred Valley and embark on a three hour trip to the Andean village of Pacchanta (3,800 meters / 12,464 feet). On our journey through the Andes stop at the beautiful church known as the Sistine Chapel of Cusco. The centuries old church has a wonderful collection of art that is worth a visit. Travel further on through the villages of Urcos, Cattca and Ocangate getting a glimpse of the traditional life in the Andes.
On your journey see the majestic Cordillera Vilcanota with its snow capped peaks and open plains. Closer to the village of Pacchanta we can see the grand Ausangate Mountain, considered the most scared and powerful in Andean cosmology. See its grandeur and feel energy that the mountain exudes.
On arrival into Pacchanta we have the chance to relax in the hot springs, here surrounded by the spectacular views of Ausangate the mineral warm waters will relax and calm you. Enjoy the tranquility and energy of the mountains in the heart of this sacred land, feel a deep sense of connection with the Apu Ausangate. Tonight we stay with a local family and share in a meal. Get a good nights rest to prepare for the adventure tomorrow.

Today awake to a very tasty breakfast with our host family which is necessary for the days adventure ahead into the heart of the Apu Ausangate.
As we walk along the paths of the ancients, Mama Coca guides us as she has done for centuries. We trek to Apacheta, a sacred passage passing mountains and valley, here we have a small ceremony to offer gratitude to the Apu, Mama chochas to seek their blessings and protections.
Descend to the waters of Otorongo and Ancash, spend some time to meditate and feel the purification of your surrounds. Spend sometime at the sacred lagoons enjoying the presence of Ausangate feel its wisdom and allow the surroundings to cleanse us.
After a wonderful morning full of transformative experiences, return to the community of Pacchanta. Here we will enjoy a delicious lunch and have a chance to see authentic textiles made by the local people, see the artistry that is part of their heritage.
Later in the afternoon have the opportunity to experience the San Pedro, Wachuma, ceremony with a master that works with this plant. This ceremony has been used for centuries through the Andes. It is said that San Pedro is able to heal, clear and transform. With the guidance of your master the ceremony is safe and helps to connect with energies, release burdens and heals. Stay the night with a local family and rest after a full day of truly unforgettable experiences.

This morning enjoy breakfast with your homestay family before we travel to Lucio’s Temple, a holy shrine where you can say farewell to the Apu Ausangate. Take the time to honor your connection with the mountains. Give thanks to the ancient energies that have guided through the mountains of the Andes.
Later journey through the Andes and the valleys back to Cusco, take with you the wisdom you have been gifted by the sacred land with a newly acquired clarity. On arrival in Cusco the tour will end. Ask your travel advisor about accommodation in Cusco if you plan to stay extra nights.
