The classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu begins early this morning when your tour leader will pick you from your hotel in Cusco. Travel to the Sacred Valley town of Ollantaytambo where you can enjoy a quick but hearty breakfast and get some last minute supplies. Travel to the start of the trail at KM82, where you will meet your porters who will support you over the next few days and do the trail check in. The trail starts with a gentle stroll through stunning landscapes, see the colorful flora and be sure to take in your surroundings and connect with the spirits of the Andes and feel the essence of Mother Earth. On route enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by our trekking chef and in the after continue on your Inca Trail experience through the Andes before reaching our first campsite at Wayllabamba. Relax with a inviting afternoon tea, get to know your fellow trekkers before dinner, enjoy the evening under a canopy of stars while your guide gives you stories about the Inca and their traditions. Rest before a full day of adventure tommorrow.

Today you will awake with a piping hot cup of team surrounded by the magnificent Andes. Fuel your soul with a wonderful breakfast prepared by our trekking chef. Day 2 of the Inca Trail is considered the challenging with high passes and descents. Firstly we will ascend to the famous Warmiwanusca, or Dead Woman’s Pass, trekking through Andean vistas that will inspire you to continue on thinking about the people who walk this path in ancient times. Enjoy a well deserved lunch at Llulluchapampa before we start our decent to Quebrada de Pacaymayo our camp for the night. Meditate and relax surrounded by the powerful energy of the mountain. Spend the night with your fellow trekkers, relax enjoy a delicious meal and rest for the day of adventure ahead.

An early start to a memorable day of trekking. A a wonderful breakfast at the campsite, depart for a scenic hike through the unforgettable cloud forest. Trek on to the Runkurakay Pass where you will enjoy stunning views and a different connection to the wisdom to this ancient and stunning land. See the archaeological sites of Sayacmarca and Phuyupatamarca, where your guide will give you the history. Take in the spiritual legacy of the ancient Incas. After a wonderful hike through the spiritual Andes we arrive at our last campsite, Winay Wayna, meaning Forever Young. This inspiring site has some of the most awesome views of the Inca Tail. Share the stories and the views with your fellow travelers, feel the connection to the earth and enjoy the spirit of the tranquil and beautiful place. Enjoy the night around the campfire in anticipation of the day ahead.

Today is the last day of the trek, an very early start with a final breakfast, say goodbye to our trekking staff before starting out for our trek to the Sun Gate. As we make our way take time to express your gratitude to Pacahamama and the mountain for the energy and guidance that they have provided through the trek. On arrival to the Sun Gate you will get your first view of the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, take the time to enjoy the views and the energy before your final trek down to the entrance of Machu Picchu.
Explore the heritage site with your guide, who will share its history and significance. See all the important temples, plazas and residences. See the sacred stone and feel the powerful energy that it exudes. After some minutes of quiet meditation travel through the Andes to the quaint and peaceful little town of Aguas Calientes, explore and enjoy a delicious lunch before taking the train to the Sacred Valley town of Ollantaytambo. On your train journey passing the spectacular scenery have time to reflect on your journey through the sacred Andes. On arrival into Ollantaytambo our Sacred Journeys team will be there to transfer you back to the Inca capital of Cusco, here our journey will conclude.
